Free Trial Lesson: Each prospective student is entitled to one 30-minute trial lesson free of charge to help them determine whether they want to pursue piano lessons.

Lessons on Zoom: Lessons take place remotely via Zoom.

  • Quiet Location: It is recommended to have your keyboard set up in as quiet of a location as possible.

  • Video On: It is also highly recommended that you have your Zoom video on whenever possible during your lessons.

When I Teach: I offer lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

  • Weekdays: I offer lessons 9am-9pm (Eastern) Tuesday through Thursday.

  • Saturdays: I offer lessons 10am-6pm (Eastern) on Saturdays.

Length and Frequency of Lessons:

  • Length: Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute increments.

  • Frequency: Lessons will generally be held at the same time every week. On a case-by-case basis, it may make sense to do a lesson every two or every four weeks, but I would highly recommend one lesson every week for anyone who is a beginner or doesn’t already have a strong grasp of music fundamentals.

Paying for Lessons: Lessons can be paid for one at a time, on the day of the lesson, or they can be paid for in advance.

  • Paying in Advance: Students paying for lessons in advance can purchase either four or eight lessons at a time. Students purchasing lessons in advance will have access to a personalized document that details (1) their remaining pre-paid lessons and (2) their payment history. If a student wants to completely stop taking lessons, they are not automatically entitled to a refund on any unused prepaid lessons.

Cancelling and Rescheduling Lessons: Lessons can be canceled or rescheduled at no charge by providing notice via email at least one hour before the scheduled start time of the lesson.

  • Missing Lessons Without Notice: If notice has not been given, I will wait for up to half of the total lesson time for you to arrive. For example, I will wait up to 15 minutes for a 30-minute lesson and up to 30 minutes for a 60-minute lesson. If no notice has been given and you do not arrive within the first half of your lesson, the lesson will be charged to you.

  • Emergencies: In case of an emergency where proper notice cannot be given the lesson will not be charged as long as you reach out to me, once you’re able, via email and let me know that an emergency has occurred.

Late Payments: If a student has not yet paid for a previous lesson, their next lesson will not take place until the previously completed lesson has been paid for. If there is any danger of this happening, the student will receive at least one email, but probably more, warning them that their next lesson will not take place unless their balance is paid.

Noncompliance with Studio Policies: If I believe that a student is not following—or is abusing—my studio policies, I reserve the right to stop giving lessons to them following a written or verbal warning.
